The Challenge.
Arquinesia is no ordinary store. It’s a sensory experience. In the heart of Barcelona’s historic old town, stepping into their boutique feels like entering a world of scent, texture, and mystery. But how do you translate that rich, physical experience for an online audience?
Arquinesia asked me to create a mood film that captures the atmosphere of their store: dreamy, refined, and full of character. Not a commercial rundown, but a film that makes you feel something.
Wow – what a surprise! The video looks very nice,
me and my wife are impressed.
Urs Leuenberger, Founder of Arquinesia
For this film, I worked differently than usual: I wrote, directed, filmed, and edited everything myself. This allowed me to work entirely on intuition and respond quickly, resulting in a cinematic piece where every detail is just right.
I chose natural light, fluid camera movements, and a rhythmic edit to convey the sensory atmosphere of the store. The sound design is subtle but essential — you hear the silence, the creaking of cabinets, the soft flicker of a candle. Everything contributes to the illusion that you’re there yourself.
With over 33,000 followers on Instagram, Arquinesia has built a loyal fanbase. Within just a few days, the video generated strong engagement: viewers shared that the atmosphere gave them the feeling of actually walking through the store themselves.
